Rental FAQ
Questions we actually get asked
Booking, servicing, placement, extensions and terms — answered the way we would answer them on the phone.
How far in advance should I book a porta potty?
For a job site, a few business days is usually enough and we can often deliver sooner. For events, book as soon as your date and venue are confirmed — summer Saturdays and graduation weekends in Lake County are the first dates to fill, sometimes weeks out.
How much does a porta potty rental cost?
We quote each job rather than publishing a rate, because the real drivers vary: how many units, how long you need them, how far the delivery is from our Mentor yard, how often the units need servicing, and whether you need extras like handwashing stations or an accessible unit. Call or send a quote request and you will get a specific number, with anything that could add cost stated up front.
What is included in the rental?
Delivery, placement, pickup, and the unit stocked at drop-off with toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Rentals running longer than a week include scheduled servicing: pump-out, interior cleaning, deodorizer and restock. Deluxe units and handwashing stations also get fresh water recharged, and paper towels and soap restocked.
How often are units serviced?
Weekly is the standard interval for a job site and covers a normal crew comfortably. Higher-traffic sites, public events and multi-day festivals need more frequent visits, and we will recommend an interval based on what you tell us about usage rather than defaulting to weekly and hoping.
Where can the unit be placed?
On firm, reasonably level ground that our truck can get within about ten to fifteen feet of, since units are moved by hand from the truck. Grass, gravel, asphalt and compacted dirt all work. Soft spring ground is the usual problem and a sheet of plywood under the unit solves most of it.
Do you need water or electricity on site?
Not for standard units, accessible units, deluxe flushing units or handwashing stations — all of them are fully self-contained. Restroom trailers are the exception: they generally need a standard power circuit, and either a water connection or their on-board tank.
Can I extend a rental?
Yes. Call or email before the scheduled pickup date and we will extend the term and keep the service route running. Extensions are billed on the same cycle as the original rental.
What happens if the unit gets tipped, damaged or vandalised?
Call us. We will assess it on the next visit or sooner if it is unusable. Normal wear is on us; damage beyond that is discussed openly with you before anything is charged, and we will tell you what we are seeing rather than adding a line item after the fact.
Do you rent to homeowners, or only contractors?
Both. A single unit for a weekend graduation party is a completely normal booking for us, and it gets the same delivery and pickup service as a monthly job-site rental.
Are you a broker or the actual rental company?
We are the rental company. We own the units, we drive the trucks, and we run the service routes. When you call, you are talking to the people who will actually deliver and service your rental — not a call centre passing your job to whoever bids lowest.
Still unanswered?
The rental guides go deeper on unit counts, delivery preparation and what drives a quote. Anything they do not cover, call us and ask.
Tell us the job. We'll tell you what it needs.
Call during answering hours and you'll speak to the people who run the trucks, or send a quote request and we'll come back with a specific number and the assumptions behind it.
